    Aus einer Lebenskrise heraus entstand Sergei Rachmaninows zweites Klavierkonzert, heute eines der absoluten Lieblinge des Repertoires mit großem Nachhall. Auch Kalinnikow hinterließ Musik voller Romantik, Wärme und Schönheit. »Nautilus« von Anna Meredith beschließt das Konzert – ursprünglich ein elektronisches Stück, doch die spätere Orchesterfassung eroberte die Konzertsäle der Welt im Sturm.
