    Gustav Mahler: Adagietto aus Sinfonie Nr. 5 cis-Moll (1903)
    Sergej Prokofjew: Suite aus dem Ballett »Romeo und Julia« op. 64 (1936)

    Liebe ist in Worten kaum zu fassen. Doch es gibt ja die Musik. Peter Tschaikowskis Ouvertüre »Romeo und Julia« gilt als Inbegriff von Leidenschaft. Auch Sergej Prokofjew näherte sich dem Stoff mit dem Ballett »Romeo und Julia«. Dazwischen steht Robert Schumanns »Dichterliebe«. Und dann: Gustav Mahlers Adagietto aus der Fünften Sinfonie, die wohl persönlichste Liebesbotschaft der Musikgeschichte.
